Victoria Stoddard Peterson

Victoria (Vicki) Stoddard Peterson, author of The Pathfinder- An Interactive Journey, was born in Richmond, Virginia. She received her Bachelor of Arts degree in English and Education from North Carolina Wesleyan and her Master of Science in Education from Syracuse University.

Throughout her 47-year teaching career, Victoria worked with a wide range of students, from academically challenged to gifted, in all grade levels. She spent her last five years in Virginia as a differentiation specialist and coordinator of arts and technology programs for Fredericksburg City Public Schools. Victoria also spent several summers as the director of the Virginia Governor’s School Summer Mentorship Program.

In 2003, she and her husband relocated to beautiful southwest Florida, where she taught for 13 years. During this time, she received her National Board certification, was recognized by the Golden Apple Program, and named Collier County Middle School Teacher of the Year.

After retiring in 2016, she created a line of greeting and notecards with sketches drawn by her aunt in 1932. Inspired by these sketches and a desire to create a resource for women to gain confidence in themselves, she wrote The Pathfinder ~An Interactive Journey. Activities, challenges, and explorations, guide the reader from Inspiration to Joyfulness and to the discovery of the power of their I AM.

With an awareness of the challenging situations that teens face in today’s world, Victoria has adapted The Pathfinder for teens. The Teen Pathfinder is scheduled for publication in the fall of 2020.
